What viewers have to say about Elyse Evans:
“I’ve always thought you presented a smart, lovely personality on-air. It is nice to know you are the same person away from your job.”
“Last week, I watched Ms. Evans interviewing many special kids involved in the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Ms. Evans was so considerate with those children. Her questions were phrased perfectly. I noticed that she would pause for a few seconds after their responses before asking another question and sometimes she wouldn't say anything, and just let the child speak. Her facial expressions and mannerisms were very caring and compassionate. I honestly could tell that she cared about these kids. I always have liked Ms. Evans and this just made me like her even more. It's so refreshing to have such thoughtful reporting, especially with delicate situations. Ms. Evans is a real asset to your news station and our community.”Jackie Norris
“I can't really describe how I felt when I came home this evening, but I was pretty sad. I turned on the television to watch the news on WTWO as I always do, but this evening there was something very different. To be able to sit there and see your smile and see you laugh really cheered me up, it meant a lot to me...so much so that I wanted to write to you and personally say thank you for making my day and helping cheer me up!! I just wanted you to know that sometimes when you are reporting the news, you are actually doing so much more without even knowing it.”Jerry Brown
“I just wanted to thank you so much for your kindness. Last Friday evening at Clinton's Little Italy Parade, you stopped and talked with my brother and shook his hand. He is mildly mentally handicapped and is often overlooked by people. Well...you really made his day! Thank you so very, very much for taking the time to create a special memory for him.”Jan Palmateer
“I just wanted to 'thank you' for making the coverage of our Angel of Hope Children's Memorial Garden possible. You are a lady of your word and we appreciate your help with this local project… Bless you!! ” Cheryl Ginder
“What a phenomenal job you did ringing the bell! Thank you for helping us out and provide a nicer Christmas for folks in our community than what they would have had.
The amount in your kettle was about 5 times what we would normally get in a two hour period. Thanks for giving yourself and making it a lot of fun, too. ”Gordon Hoag, Envoy, The Salvation Army
“Just wanted to drop a note to tell you again what a wonderful job you did
on our kids' story. From the creativity to the delivery, it was a
shining beacon in the darkness that now defines our life. You had a true care and concern for us as people....not just victims… we have feel you have become our friend. Thank
you for that. You and the station exemplify a professionalism and
integrity that others can only aspire to.” Rick & Trish Zaikovsky, parents and grandparents of triple murder victims
